Regional Park Projects

 


 

The Nipawin and District Regional Park received a donation of $1,000 from the Wheatland Sams chapter of the Saskatchewan Good Sams. They presented two cheques of $500 each to Nipawin and District Regional Park Board Chair Blaine Clarke for the upkeep of camping facilities.

The one cheque was a donation from the Good Sams Provincial Organization and the other cheque came from the Wheatland Sams chapter, which represents the Good Sam members in a large area across northeast Saskatchewan

 

 

The Saskatoon Sunseeker Sams provided manpower and financial assistance for the construction of a camp kitchen at the Eagle Creek Regional Park. In addition they provided funds to renovate the washroom and shower facilities.

In total the Chapter donated $2,250.00 ,and the Good Sam Provincial Organization provided an additional $1,000.00.

The Craik Regional Park also received assistance from the Sunseeker Sams for the repairs to picnic tables, assisting with the children’s play area and bundling of camp fire wood.

 

   Wheatland Regional Park  

The Parkland Sams have completed numerous projects at the Whitesand Regional Park. In addition their chapter provided $700.00, an additional $500.00 was provided by the Good Sam Provincial Organization.

They have repaired and replaced metal siding on park buildings, painted the inside of the park club house, installed and painted posts along the driveways, trimmed trees and carried out general cleanup.

In their spare time they cut firewood for the park.
