Camp Easter Seal

Camp Easter Seal is a completely wheel chair accessible resort designed for
adults and children with disabilities. Located near Watrous at Manitou Beach,
the home of our Fall Mini Samboree, Camp Easter Seal offers a beautiful
environment of lake and wooded slopes. Camp Easter Seal is operated by the
Saskatchewan Abilities Council and is open June through August. Ten camping
sessions are offered. |

In 2010 our Provincial Organization presented a cheque to Camp Easter Seal for
$975. In 2011 following our Mini Samboree , we presented them with a cheque for
$1000.00.
Funds are raised by a raffle held each year at the Good Sam Mini
Samboree.

Spring Samboree
Donations
Prince Albert SPCA

At the request of the 2011 Samboree host chapter,
the Prince Albert Evergreen Sams, the Sunday Interdenominational Church Service
offering, together with the coffee donation fund, were given to the SPCA in
Prince Albert. A cheque for $800.00 was presented. |

Humboldt
District Health Centre
2010

In 2010 the Humboldt Samboree
host chapter, the Heartland sams, requested the church service donation
be given to the Humboldt District Health Centre. A cheque was presented
to the Health Board for $907.00
The Provincial Organization has
made similar donations over the years to support host chapter charities
and organizations.

Matching Grants Program |
| The Provincial Organization in
cooperation with local chapters provide grants for Regional Park
assistance. All grants are on a matching basis, with the Chapter
providing 50% and the Province providing the other 50%.
Over the past four years $8000.00 has been provided
for park development. Good Sam Chapters have assisted in two ways; part
financial, and in many cases, labour.
- Building camp kitchens
- Building entrance ofices
- Repair of camp tables
- Spring clean-up
- Building miniature golf courses
- Building and repairing fences
